"Chuck it about" BBQ Marinade
In true british style,we have a week of beautiful sunshine and temperatures passing 10 degrees and it's any excuse for men to take their tops off and BBQs on.
**Warning - Men's ego booster** Of course the most important part of every BBQ is how you men place the meat on and off the BBQ, stand around with a beer in your hand (with you're tops off)discussing the best way to place the meat on and off the BBQ as that's really what makes the food taste so good, but it also helps when you've got a good marinade.
This one has been proudly named "Chuck it about" BBQ marinade because I literally made it up by chucking anything I could find in my cupboards into a bowl and luckily it turned out to be quite nice. It's rich in smoky bbq flavour perfect for most meats, a good marinade keeps your meat juciy and full of flavour and this does just that. My personal favourite to use this for is chicken thighs, you just cant beat succulent bbq chicken thighs - if you're not keen with meat on the bone you can get bonless thighs. I would strongly reccomend using thighs rather than breast for the BBQ, as breasts tend to go very dry, unless you are making skewers then this is also perfect!
I can almost guarentee that most of you will have pretty much all of these ingredients in your cupboard; Olive Oil, Honey, Paprika, Lemon Juice, Salt, Soy Sauce, Tomato Ketchup -it doesnt get much easier than that!
Perfect for those impromptu BBQ with friends & family. Click here for full recipe details - (become a member to view free online recipes, it's free and easy to join simply by adding your email address)
My Top Tips;
Alway mix you're marinade in a bowl first, before adding to your meat.
If you're using meats such as chicken thighs remember to score your chicken first before chucking the chicken into the marinade.
Ideally meat should be left to marinade overnight for best results however a minimum of an hour is also fine.
