Curry & Pint kinda night
Up until a few years ago I never really ate curry, it's not something we had often living at home and we never ate it out as I didn't have a clue what to order. Also with spending a lifetime on a diet it's not something you can have often either because of the amount of oil curry houses use making them so unhealthy(that doesn't mean they aren't tasty I'm sure!!)
Slowly and slowly we started to try different curry recipes and found a whole new world of flavour we could finally understand the enjoyment in curry nights all from our own dining room table.
Go on admit to yourself how many times have you thought about making a curry seen the list of spices and thought 'nah you're alright, I'll leave it to the professionals' - we've all done it. It's like everything we either don't have time, or don't have the confidence. However unfortunately if you want to stay healthy it requires a little bit of time, not a lot, more organisation than time. Once you've bit the bullet and gone to buy the spices that's you're first hurdle. Just think once you've got them they're there then for the next curry night and the one after that and so on. So ditch the jars, say 'alvida' (goodbye) to your Indian curry house because your curry & pint kinda nights have changed for the better.
Take a look at my Chicken Madras recipe and see what I mean, you'll wish you didn't do it sooner. I added curried sweet potato as a side because;
1.what meal would be healthy if you didn't add a vegetable somewhere
2.why not
3.I needed to use them up (honesty is the best policy)
